Products for UOP Processes

Armstrong/Chemtec manufactures three different pieces of equipment for processes licensed by UOP in Des Plaines, Illinois, USA. We have built this equipment for many years and are on UOP's preferred vendor lists for all three products. Our Regenerant Vaporizers, Regeneration Gas Coolers, and Electric Heaters for these processes are built to exacting UOP specifications and have field-proven themselves to be very reliable and capable of performing under the extreme conditions present in petroleum refineries.

Electric Heater

Armstrong/Chemtec manufactures process electric heaters for many UOP processes including:

Penex
Platforming CCR
Oleflex
Butamer
ORU
Cyclar

These processes use one or more of the following:

Regenerant Superheater
Reduction Gas Heaters
Regeneration Gas Heater
Chlorination Gas Heater
Air Heater
Drier Regenerant Superheater

Regenerant Vaporizers

Armstrong/Chemtec is the only UOP suggested supplier for this piece of equipment for UOP's Penex, Butamer, ORU and Cyclar processes.

Regeneration Gas Cooler

Armstrong/Chemtec manufactures this special type of air cooler for UOP processes and it often incorporates exotic metallurgy. We have fabricated a large range of this type of equipment for various plants around the world. Our designs have incorporated anywhere from a few to over a hundred large diameter tubes. Regeneration Gas Coolers are used in UOP's Oleflex, Platformer, and Cyclar processes.
